Chapter 1:
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Background of the StudyAccording to digitalarthistory.iwarp.com/
It is debatable when exactly the history of digital art began. Artists have been experimenting with computers at least since the 1970's... As in the evolution of photography and video art, this new medium was often considered a threat to traditional art forms... Over the decades, art making use of digital technologies has taken many forms, and even today, the question of how exactly digital or new media art can be defined is still being debated.
Both are less concerned with what their audience thinks than with theories or with changes of mind, interested in shaping sensibility, in molding the individual's manner of experiencing the world. The advertiser is the artist of the “Electra nascence,” having learned his techniques from the more “traditional” artists.
A cross-disciplinary field, media studies uses techniques from psychology, art theory, sociology, information theory, and economics. The development of multimedia and performance art has been greatly influenced by media studies. Media serve as active "metaphors" that have powers to translate experience into new forms, new formats with enhanced flexibility.
Importance of the StudyDigital painting is very advantageous to students because they won’t be hard up in bring things. This will also help students create their masterpiece creatively and pass it on time. Digital painting is also a very big help to students because they do not have to spend much money to buy their things.
One of the Benefits of Digital Painting to the students is that it can help save the environment, by using less paper.
A Benefit of Digital painting is that it is also like drawing with a pencil in paper that it only functions with a Desktop or a Mac.
Practices and challenges students to expand contemporary modes of art production and exhibition beyond the canvas, the screen and the gallery space to generate works that engage the rapidly evolving nature of contemporary image making, animation and digital visual culture.
Statement of the Problem1. How can digital painting reduce the use of paper to help UB?
2. How can digital painting help students to finish their works on their schools?
ObjectiveThis study aims to:
Teach the students on how to do their own original works
Scope and DeliminationThe digital painting tutorial program is only limited to the students of UB due to the lack of resources and time to conduct the research
Project ContraintsThe following are the problems we encountered during the research:
1. If there will be a maintenance in the electrical company, can corrupt the files of fellow students using those computers
2. Some schools might have a low budget and financing.
3. Without proper equipment safety can lose everything.
4. The location of the digital painting tutorial program
Project AssumptionsDigital painting only has the use of limited soft wares and some pen tablets will require battery. It is also sometimes to require to change the pen tablet tip and battery in some times, to not be destructed in stopping the art.
